David was born in Fergus Falls, MN and grew up on the family farm. He joined the Army and was a proud member of the Third Infantry Division where he served as a track mechanic in West Germany during the Cold War. After serving his country, David began his career as a long-haul trucker. He was dedicated to his profession, continuing in this field for over 30 years with a commendable driving record. He was even recognized for achieving over 3,200,000 safe driving miles!
David married his beloved wife, Kathy, in 1990. Together, they cherished their blended family and enjoyed 34 beautiful years of marriage. David and Kathy enjoyed traveling, gathering with family, and spending their winters in Florida. Every year he would drive their Ford F250 truck the entire route, with the fifth wheel attached, packed, and ready to go. A highlight of their travels was a trip to Europe in 2018. For many years, David traveled to Fuder Farms in Foxhome, Minnesota to spend his October’s harvesting sugar beets.
David was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post 630 Brooklyn Center. He was a dedicated husband and father who loved the Lord and was an active member in his church. David was a true handyman who was proud to be able to fix anything brought to him. “Gramps” especially enjoyed fixing toys for his grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by his son, Shane Fuder; parents, Loren and Gladys Fuder; sister, Jeanette; brother, Terry.
