Hanson, Daniel “Dan” Age 65, of Maple Grove passed away peacefully on 3/8/25 after battling Leukemia, Prostrate cancer and then Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Preceded in death by father Harlan, Dan is survived by daughters, Brittany, Melissa, and Eileen; mother, Florence; siblings, James (Marie), Barb (Gary), Vicky (Rob), Nancy, Jeff (Jeanne), Sue (Matt), and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Dan was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Dan attended Park Center High School. After high school, Dan served in the U.S. Navy. Dan was in the carpentry trade throughout his career, with his latter years being a finishing carpenter with Schwieters. In addition to spending time with his daughters, Dan loved deer hunting, fishing, watching sports and especially riding his Harley Davidson, including riding for the many Ride-On 4 Carrie fundraisers. Dan was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle & friend who will be greatly missed.
A visitation gathering in honor of Dan’s memory will be Thursday 3/20/25 from 4-7 pm at Kapala Glodek-Malone Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service Friday 3/21/25 at 11am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 7217 West Broadway, Brooklyn Park, MN. Visitation 10 am until time of service.
Inurnment with military honors Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
