Vincent White

Vincent Andrew White, 70, passed away at his home on 11/5/19 after a long illness. He died peacefully with his wife Christina, family and good friends at his side. Born and raised in Manhattan, New York (Hells Kitchen) before moving to Congers NY where he raised his 3 children. Vinny had gone through the ranks and became Captain in 1998 . He proudly served 27 years on the Clarkstown Police department retiring in 2005 as Captain of Operations. CPD was his heart even after retirement. He honored the brotherhood and bonds that were formed while doing a job he loved. He was always driven and willing to go the extra mile to help anyone.

He was graduate of the FBI national academy of which he was extremely proud. He served as President of the Rockland County Patrolman’s Benevolent Association and President of the Rockland County Shields. His love for police work was out shadowed by his love for his 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and was the most loyal fan of the New York Yankees He often referred to them as My Yankees. In 2007 he moved with his wife Christina to The Villages, Florida where he made some solid friendships and where he continued his love for the Yankees especially attending spring training events, driving a Yankee decorated golf cart and dedicated and entire room as the Yankee room.

He is survived by his wife, Christina. 3 children Brenna (Michael) Devon (Catherine) and Kerry (Mark) his grandchildren Kelsey, Daniel, Riley and Delaney. His sister Veronica and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Veronica, 2 sisters Margaret and Kathaleen.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in New City. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 18th at 10am, at St. Augustine Parish, 140 Maple Ave. New City, NY.
