Vincent T. Cordaro

Vincent “Vinny Tools” Cordaro passed away on February 9, 2015. He was born in Suffern on May 8, 1956 to Salvatore and Rita (Sarnese). Vinny was a life-long resident of New City, born and raised in the family home on North Little Tor Road. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Ford Motor Corporation for over 20 years and was still working as an independent mechanic. Vinny was an avid outdoorsman who had a great affection for boating and the Hudson River.

He is survived by his father Salvatore; son Nicholas of New City; daughter Meg Cordaro of New City; brothers Sal “Tucky” II (Noreen) of Nyack; Thomas of Nyack; and granddaughter Megan as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Rita; brothers Lawrence and Robert.

Vinny will be remembered as a devoted and loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He will be remembered as the “guy with the big heart”.

Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on Monday from 6-9pm. A service will take place Tuesday 11am at the funeral home.
