Thomas Ferrara

Thomas “Tommy Lamb” Ferrara passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ surrounded by his family. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Yonkers, NY to Leonard and Marie Ferrara. On August 7th, 1984 Thomas married his wife, Florence Autera, at Justice of the Peace.

Thomas had a long career as a butcher, which he retired from in May 2017. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan. Thomas was kind, loving and loyal to all. He had a smile and presence that would light up a room. He will be remembered for his love of family, charming wit, humorous personality, and his generous heart.

He is survived by Florence, his wife of 33 years, his 4 children; Thomas Ferrara, Michelle DiNapoli, Jennifer Manfredonia, Rosemarie Ferrara and 9 grandchildren; Anthony, Ashley, Alyssa, Luke, Julia, Aiden, Salvatore, Francesca, and Gia.

Visiting hours will be at MJ Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on Thursday March 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Church, New City on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Putnam Valley, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations can also be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
