I was thinking about you more today then my usual days...I miss seeing you laying on the couch telling me this or that or breaking out in song You were suppose to be helping me right now with my recovery...Everything went as well as expected! 
I know you are preparing for a big celebration tomorrow! Nan will be 98 for us, but to the two of you, I bet you are both back in your prime and planning a big gala! Well, just know I am thinking of you and I miss you. Give Nan a hug and a kiss for me and tell her I said Happy Birthday!!! I love and miss you both.

Today is two months since your passing. We know in our hearts, that your extremely happy and content, being with Nanny. But, speaking for all of us, we miss you so darn much, here on earth. We'll all be together some day.

Uncle Ralph:
 Let me start by saying, "You are the GREATEST"! Yes, that was your favorite expression, especially when you spoke of my father, Sheldon Wollman, your son-in-law. The way you spoke of him, articulated every great deed and act of sincere love he showed to others, story after story for sometimes  hours, you would talk of him. Cherishing every sentence you spoke of good and sometimes not so good kept my ears yearning for more and more. For this, I thank you so much, as you always seemed to find the good in people no matter where and hard, you had to look. 
When I was fifteen years old or so, I remember taking a vacation to Miami Beach Florida to visit my other Grandfather, Barney Wollman the former  owner of  B. Wollman and Bros., located at 352 Seventh Avenue NYC. He spoke of you with the kindest and most respective words. He told me of all the good days you shared working in the fur business together, and how you treated Nanny your wife and my Grandmother, with the utmost of respect. I was extremely happy with his words spoken, knowing I was so lucky, having two wonderful Grandfathers, that truly loved me as well as I loving them. Barney passed on in 1973, while I was on a trip to Israel, unable to attend his funeral. 
Anyway, I'm sure you know now why I was not able to attend your funeral last week, and I'm sure you can understand why I did not attend Nan's as well, in September of 2012, as you know as well as Nan, one does not need to be with one, in order to be with them...
 I will remain at your side and Nan's spiritually for eternity,

My uncle was a rare breed of a man. He was kind, strong and always caring about your well being. He was a fun loving, story telling, all around gentleman.  
People were drawn to him when he told his stories. On one trip to the hospital the attending heart doctor told him, Ralph I am going to introduce you to the President of the hospital so you came get us all raises. He had a gift of gab.
My aunt found a wonderful man that truly loved her and cared for her for 69 years.
We were blessed to have them this long. They were deeply loved by their families and they will be greatly missed.
God be with you until we meet again.

Pop Pop Ralph,

You were always so happy to see me at the holidays and genuinely interested in how I was doing and were so supportive and encouraging. You always had a joke, a kind word, a compliment; I never forgot them and never will. 

You are a distinct and remarkable character. Even though I had not seen you in many years, I can still picture you vividly... your warmth, your heavy New York accent, and your signature move of trying to slip me a $20 during a handshake. I will keep your memory with me always. I hope you are at peace with Nanny. I will miss you.

Dear Ralph- I am sad that you are not with us, but Nanny needs you more than we do. Thank you for always caring and asking about my health even though yours was not too good. You brought us a lot of laughter telling your funny stories about situations you got yourself into. When I catch up to you, I will look forward to hearing some new stories. To my Pop Pop, 
I loved you so. You were always wonderful to me and kept me laughing. You always made my brother Jason feel so special (well more special then he already was) he still sings i" if I make you blue I have heartaches too" at the very mention of your name. It's sad how we get so busy with our everyday lives that it takes the pain of your loss to realize how much I love you and how special you have always been to me. Thank goodness Julie and Gary stepped in to show you the love we all have for you. They are amazing people and am so glad to have them as part of our family.You were a wonderful Grandfather. I will miss you but are happy you can now be with Nanny again.

Pop Pop Ralph, we could always count on a laugh or two (or many more), whether we were laughing with you or at you!  Yes, I said, at you, just like when you asked dad (Bobby) why the kids were throwing their hot dogs under the tree and you picked one up to show him and it was something that was dropped by the dog!  Or when the crab made his final statement to you before being dropped into that pot of boiling water!  These are just a couple of wonderful memories that will remain in our hearts forever.  Your infectious smile will always be with us and will get us through this difficult time.  I know that you and Nanny are already dancing.  We love and miss you both.  Rest in peace, Pop Pop. Let me start by saying that I know this is my grandfather's passing, but I can't seem to separate my grandfather from my grandmother. In my heart they were one so with his passing I feel I am losing her, again. I know that everyone will say they lived a long and wonderful life and I agree that we were so blessed to have them for so many years and I am so grateful,but it doesn't make my heart stop hurting or wanting to talk to them one more time. I loved them both more than words can express and will miss them until the end when they reach their hands out to me just as Nanny reached hers to him. I can't seem to stop wondering how long they would be with us if they passed naturally. They were one and to separate them is unnatural. They are now together as it should be, as it should have always been. "What God has joined, men must not divide" Amen. They were a team. They were one. He was a wonderful husband and adored Nanny and said many times he was the luckiest man on earth to have such a beautiful wife. As Nanny aged and needed help he was there to make her life better. When her hand was injured he became her hands. He rolled and styled her hair and helped dress her each day because she couldn't. She told me many times how wonderful he was to her and how blessed she was to have him taking care of her so they could live independently which was so important to both of them. They are gone, but I am left with such wonderful memories that I will recall on, often. He made me laugh until I cried. He was the best storyteller. He was my political buddy and we would spend hours on the phone discussing politics. He was a proud American that cared about his country. He was a good man. I would like to say that Julie and Gary will always have a special place in my heart for sharing our grandfathers' final days with all of us and making his life as comfortable as could be since Nanny left New York and my grandfather and soon after passed. They are true hero's that held his hand through the most difficult times of his life and did so unselfishly. I love you both and Thank you for everything you did for our grandfather and for sharing so much with us.  I am also proud of my father for helping care for our grandfather and holding his hand along with Julie as he took his last breath and went to be with Nanny for eternity.

How blessed I fell to have been able to spend the last week of your life with you here, holding your hands to keep mine warm. Telling stories of our times so treasured. Being able to give back the caring love you so gave to me as a boy.
I am glad I was there at the time of your journey home to Mother.

Dear Uncle Ralph you will be missed. I will always remember your daily visits to my father (your brother) Tony during his long illness.  You lifted his spirits and were a source of comfort to him. This kindness gave me peace of mind as I went to work and was greatly appreciated.  
I will miss you and your constant reminder to be careful.  Rest in peace. Love always your niece Virginia.

I will never forget you and all the fun we had every year when you came to visit us in Florida. I looked forward to and cherished every visit. You were so funny and so much fun and very sweet. I know I will be with you and Nanny again. Until then, there will be a big hole in my heart.
