After graduating from Mount Saint Michael Academy, Peter proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970, as a member of the 1st Cavalry Division of the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Christine, in 1971. He retired from Metro North Railroad in 2010 after 36 years of service.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Christine, sons Peter (Amy) and Richard, and daughter Susanne. He is also survived by his six beloved grandchildren: Patsy, Joe, Evelyn, Lilah, Kieran, and Luke. He is predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Amanda. Peter will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and Pop-Pop and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 14th at 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
