Patricia Ann Houlihan

Patricia A. Houlihan (nee Monaghan) of Hilton Head Island, SC, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 14, 2020. Prior to Hilton Head, Patricia was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s and resident of West Nyack where she raised her family for 38 years. She was born on August 8, 1937 to Francis and Helen Monaghan. She is survived by her loving and adoring husband of 60 years, Robert; her children, Sean, Erin O’Grady (John), Drew (Judith), Moira Newman (Joseph); and her brother Robert Monaghan (Peggy). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren whom she treasured; Brendan and Megan O’Grady, Conor, Kelly and Patrick Houlihan, Caitlin and Brianne Newman. Devoted sister-in-law to Kevin and Patricia Houlihan. Patricia was pre-deceased by her siblings Mary Lynch, John Monaghan and devoted sister-in-law Joan Kerrigan.

Patricia unselfishly gave her time volunteering in her local parish St. Francis Thrift Shop and local Hospice Thrift Shop. She will forever be remembered for her warm smile, laughter and compassion. Her faith and graciousness were endless. She was a friend to everyone she met.

Family will receive guest on Sunday, February 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm, at Michael J Higgins Funeral Service 321 South Main St. New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will head will be held on Monday, February 24th at 10am, St. Anthony Parish, 36 West Nyack Rd. Nanuet, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
