Melba Buenviaje

She is survived by her daughter Veverly Buenviaje, son Von Buenviaje and daughter in law Doris Perez Buenviaje granddaughter Stephanie (California), and grandson Kenneth (California).

Melba was born in Calumpang West, Batangas, Philippines to Ben Nieva and Nemesia Cuasay on December 30, 1941 and has 5 sisters Lita Cilindro (deceased), Violeta Saba (California), Edith Valenzuela (Canada), Josephine Jaime (Philippines), and Annie Espeleta (Philippines). She graduated from FEU with a degree BS in Elementary Education and PSID with BFA major in Interior Design.

Melba moved to USA in 1988 to be with her children and has lived in Rockland County. She took care of her two grandchildren and drove them from school to home. She's always surrounded by family and loves to cook and shop.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 5:00 - 9:00 PM in Higgins Funeral Home at 321 South Main Street New City, New York. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 12,2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Church 245 N. Main Street in Spring Valley, New York.
