Matt McGuy

Matt was an organ recipient (lung) and an organ donor (ocular).

Matt had a full life. He was born on August 19, 1953 to Elizabeth and Tom McGuy. He always enjoyed a challenge as shown by his variety of business interests. He was owner of a Texaco station, he ran a Samaritania Van giving traffic reports while also helping disabled vehicles on NY Thruway 287 which landed him on the David Letterman show. He recently enjoyed teaching defensive driving classes in the malls and online.

Matt is loved by many and will be missed. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Nancy. He is survived by his wife Resa, children James and Paula, grandson Matthew, sister Elizabeth, and brother Mark.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S Main St, New City, NY 10956 October 8, from 4pm to 8pm.
