Maryann was born in New York City, her earliest childhood memories formed in the close-knit Irish community of St. Nicholas of Tolentine, Bronx. At the age of seven, she moved with her family to the country hamlet of Nanuet NY, where she graduated from St. Anthony’s School and Nanuet High School, class of 1986. Following her graduation from SUNY Albany with an honors degree in accounting, Maryann excelled as a Certified Public Account at Arthur Andersen, NY and Pearson Education, Upper Saddle River, NJ, where she retired in 2015 from her position as Vice President, Financial Planning, North America.
Maryann’s greatest “JOYS” came from spending time with her husband and children, enjoying hockey games and cheerleading competitions, yearly trips to “her favorite place on earth”, Walt Disney World, special summer vacations on Long Beach Island and every family gathering, especially hosting the holidays at her beautiful home. While juggling work and caring for her children, Maryann found time everyday to visit with her best friend, her mom.
Maryann was predeceased by her parents, John and Ann Darcy. She is survived by the love of her life, Ed, her four precious children, Amanda, Cameron, Brandon and Justin and her much loved Labradoodle, Rudy. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Joanne and Ted Eckberg, Robert and Kathy Darcy, Tricia and Bob Dimke, and Kevin and Sophia Darcy.
