Mary M. Vericker

Mary (Mae) Margaret Vericker (Sullivan), 95, peacefully passed away on February 4, 2012. Mae now joins her late husband, Andrew Vericker in heaven. She was the daughter of David and Bridget (Haggerty) Sullivan of Ballyhooly, County Cork Ireland. She is survived by her three children, Carol Anne Vericker and her life partner Carmen Negron, Theresa (Terri) and her husband Joseph Walsh of Orangeburg, NY, and Andrew and his wife Helen of Danbury, CT; two sisters-in-law, Katherine Sullivan and Bernadette Feeney; six loving grandchildren, Joseph Walsh, Matthew Walsh, Teresa Barry (Walsh), John Walsh, James Walsh and Evan Vericker; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mae, and her husband, Andy, raised their three children in Parkchester, Bronx, NY, and spent their summers with the family at Rockaway Beach, Queens, NY. They loved to entertain family members, nieces and nephews, and friends in their home. In recent years, she lived in Assisted Living at Mill Pond in Park Ridge, NJ. Mae enjoyed having her family visits and the staff at Mill Pond were her extended family.

Mae will be waked at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, on Monday, February 6, 2012, from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 10am, at St. Augustine's Church, New City. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet.
