Marie Klimek of New City, NY, 75 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 29, 2019. Marie was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Rockland County. She was born on April 9, 1944. She married the love of her life, Paul, in 1968. Marie was employed as a cook by the Clarkstown Central School District and Page Supervisor by the New City Library. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, gardening, music and sewing. She was an avid Mets fan but her greatest joys came from her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Michael and Brian, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildrenand lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10am at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org
