Louise Marley

Louise was born in los Angeles California on July 20, 1921 to Louis and Josephine (Canet) Lolorens. She has been a Pearl River resident for the past 55 years and prior resided in nanuet. Louise was employed as a Bookkeeper for the Jawonio Foundation in New City for 26 years and was also the Asst. Director of Camp Jowonio. Louise was a Founding member of the Rockland County Disability Advisory Council and held all of the Executive Positions. An advocate for accessible housing, bathrooms, curb cuts and handicapped parking in New York State. A member of the Board of Directors of the Rockland Independent Living Center, past Treasurer of the Nanuet Lions Club, the first Secretary of the Rockland County Parks and Recreations office and a Girl Scout Leader.

Louise is survived by her 2 daughters Dale and her husband Bruno, Dona and her husband Donald, 1 niece Carol Ann Sutherland, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends today 7-9pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home New City, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 10am at St. Anthony's Shrine Church Nanuet, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
