He is survived by his wife of 60 years Ann, son John (July) and daughter JoAnne Fratianni (Gregory), and 4 grandchildren; Nicholas, Juliana, Joseph and Kirsten. He cherished his time spent with family especially with his grandchildren who all have made him very proud.
Larry was born in Brooklyn, NY to John and Mildred Brogna on March 3, 1932. Larry married the love of his life, Ann in November 1963. They moved to New City in 1975 to raise their children. Larry was the backbone of the family as mentor and coach, his guidance was often sought out by all that knew him.
Larry worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 37 years before retiring and then working for Unum for an additional 7 years. Larry’s most cherished employment was working as a school crossing guard for the Town of Clarkstown for many years.
Larry was an avid sports fan and grew up watching the Brooklyn Dodgers. Later, he loved to watch the Yankees, Giants, Rangers and Knicks.
A private funeral mass will be held at Saint Augustine Parish at 140 Maple Avenue in New City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
