Kyle Matthew Peters, of New City, NY, passed away suddenly on February 12, 2023. Kyle was 48 years old and a lifelong resident of New City. Kyle was born on September 8, 1974 to Kathy (nee Magnatta) and Patrick J. Peters, Jr. He graduated from Clarkstown High School South and SUNY Plattsburgh where he was a proud member of AXP, the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity. He found fulfillment and success working as an Operating Engineer and Construction Manager for the Joseph M. Sanzari Company. Along with his loving parents, Kyle is survived by his sister Jaime and husband Jay Manzella, his brother Patrick and wife Vivien, his niece and nephew Julia and Jason Manzella, and his beloved dogs Elvis and Dexter. Kyle is also survived by his grandparents, Al and Matilda Magnatta, his aunts and uncles Kevin and Gay Peters, Sharon (Peters) and Barry Hawkins, Luanne (Peters) and Jeffrey Magnatta, Susan Peters, Linda (Magnatta) Zebrowski, Al and Carol Magnatta, Madeline Sandfield and his many cousins, who treasured him. He will be greatly missed by girlfriend Erin, and Frank and Nicholas, who lovingly called him their Step Up Dad. Kyle was predeceased by his grandparents, Frances and Patrick Peters, Sr. and his uncle Ken Zebrowski. Kyle was an avid and skilled skier and loved animals. He was passionate about cooking, hunting, and motorcycles. More than anything else, Kyle fiercely loved his family. He coveted the title of world’s best. He needed no introduction. He’d leave his calling card as the number one son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and if you were unlucky enough to cross him, your number one enemy. He was loyal and true and was always there when you needed him. To say that Kyle will be missed is an understatement. He was our gentle giant, whose smile could light up even the darkest room. Our hearts are heavy but they are filled with gratitude for all the love and memories he left us.
