It's been a year and I still cannot believe you are gone. Although you are not here in the physical world, you are here in spirit. I think of you every day. Know that you will NEVER be forgotten. You will always be remembered as a great person, with a big personality and very much loved by many people. I love you then, I love you now and I will love you always! My deepest condolences to your family.  I knew you since we were kids and knew you as the man with the "big" personality.  You were loving, kind, compassionate, and generous.  You helped so many people in so many ways and was always there when I needed you.  I'll never forget our middle of the night phone calls, the endless childhood stories you shared with me and others throughout the years, the laughs and tears we shed together, all the years of tailgating at Giants stadium, and going to yankee games with your wonderful children.  When Johnny passed you stood by my side and I will always remember what you did for my family.  You will be sorely missed and may you rest in peace my friend.  🙏 🙏 May God wrap his arms around you.  I will never forget you and I will always have the fondest memories of you.  💔 

Wow, I am saddened and sickened by the early loss of such an old friend. My condolences to Jackie and his children.

John and I grew up together on the West Nyack side of Rose Road. I met John when I was 5, we went to elementary school together,, we built forts in his back yard, I still remember his mom Patsy as I remember calling her,, singing in the morning in the kitchen when I slept over and us both chasing Jenny Brown who lived across the street. FUN TIMES. 

We almost lost him when we ran a across West Nyack Rd and he got hit by a car. His sneakers were still on the ground, broke his leg, but he survived, even joked about getting the girls to cater to him, he hammed it up when they came around, 

He seamed so bigger than life sometimes, Even back then.

We met up a few years back, outside a job site, I told him I had been in Local 3 in Elevators, I thought he was gonna come unglued, he was so happy and so proud that us two dufus's landed in the same Union, what a coincidence he exclaimed, LOUDLY, like fate he yelled.
Jenny moved to Islip, L.I. and John moved away as well,, but I felt his spirit as I drove down Rose Rd today, looked at his old house, stopped, reminisced, said goodbye to my oldest friend in the world.

John and I have been  neighbors for well over 20 years. I know I will never get another one who cared so much and had so much passion and love for his home and both his family’s and communities well being.
 Because if this , I know he would never have wanted to leave us all so soon. 
John you will be very missed. 
But your legacy and deserving  nicknames of Crazy John , Archie Bunker, and John Midnight will go on forever.  
With tears in my eyes , Rest In Peace and thank you for being  a dear and loyal friend. 🛐✝️

What can I say about the man that I love…words can not express the level of my grief and saddens. Through the years we had our ebbs and flows but one thing was constant and that was our devotion to each other. He had a big personality and a bigger heart! I told John I feel in love with him because of his gorgeous bright blue eyes but the truth is that I fell in love with him because he was THE most generous man I know. John spent his final days helping me and helping others.  That’s what he did best and that’s how he showed he cared. I want people to remember John as a man that was very much loved by me, his family and many many others.  A man that loved his family more than anyone can phantom. He would go to the ends of the earth for his kids and the people that mattered to him. There will never be another man like John and never will be. The void that he left in my heart is excruciating. I will miss him dearly.  But I will carry all the fabulous memories we shared…thinking of them just put a smile on my face. I am forever grateful that John was a big part of my life.  To know John and to love John is my privilege and my joy. May God bless you my love . You take away a piece of my heart with you. I love you and always will!!! Your Jackie 

John was truly one of kind....I worked with him in Unity Electric for years..My wife and I just hugged him a few weeks ago at my son's memorial service....He called me several times to see how I was doing....Our sincerest condolences to his family....He will be greatly missed.
