John Joseph Cardarelli

John J. Cardarelli, 44, a resident of New City, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 8, 2014. John was born on February 25, 1970, in Queens, New York, to Arthur and Barbara Cardarelli. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Frank Cardarelli and his two daughters, Barbara, 10, and Kiersten, 8, along with his father, Arthur (and wife Joan), brothers Peter and Michael (and wife Patti), and sister Joanne (husband Manny).

An electrician by trade and resident of Rockland County since 1999, his proudest accomplishments were supporting his daughters in their various sports endeavors. He was beloved in his community for always providing aid to anyone in need.

Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, New York on Thursday, June 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at Higgins. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Flushing, New York. The family will be sitting shiva at the Cardarelli home on Sunday, June 15, and Monday, June 16, after 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to John’s daughters’ college funds.
