George J. Mollo, Jr of Nanuet, NY, 73 years old, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 1, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Terry Mollo, and his two children Lindsay Mollo Richmond (Chris) and Eric Mollo (Cynthia DiNuovo). He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Anna (9), Lily (9) and Ethan (7).
George was born in the Bronx, NY to George and Helen (Parlatore) Mollo. He graduated from Stepinac High School in 1968 and then earned his BS in Psychology from Iona College in 1972. He met Terry in 1969 and they were married on October 20, 1973. He worked passionately in the direct marketing industry until 2000, when he launched and ran his own consulting agency until he retired in 2018.
George was a devoted family man who cherished every opportunity to gather with loved ones, no matter the occasion. Whether celebrating milestones or simply spending time together, he found joy in being surrounded by family and friends. Nothing made him more proud than cheering on his grandchildren at their events, always their biggest supporter.
Beyond his family, George was deeply committed to his community. He served The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce as an officer for many years and worked tirelessly to support local businesses and initiatives, especially serving future generations, always striving to make a difference. A lifelong financial expert, George was always eager to share his knowledge, offering advice to anyone willing to listen. He had a passion for helping others navigate their financial futures, ensuring they felt empowered and informed.
In his free time, George found peace and camaraderie on the golf course, enjoying both the challenge of the game and the friendships it fostered. George and Terry loved to travel and in just the last few years they took two river boat trips in Eastern Europe, an extended trip to Italy with family, and just this fall they went on a Canadian Cruise.
George will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His impact on his family, friends, and community will be felt for years to come, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
