Edna will be remembered for her love of freestyle music, traveling, watching tv shows and movies, and most of all enjoying her time with her family and friends. Edna suffered with Lou Gehrig’s disease for 7 years, but that did not stop her from being determined to keep on going and enjoying each moment of her life. Edna was adored by anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with her. No matter what, she would make sure she’d be present for any family or friend functions and major events. Always putting others needs above her own because seeing the people she loved happy made her happy and fulfilled. Edna was such a special woman. She was always known to be the observer of the room, listening to people’s stories rather than her own. She never sought out the spotlight. But even so, when she entered the room, she commanded it with her presence. She was respected, treasured and never to be forgotten. A true matriarch of the family.
Edna was born in Boston, MA, on November 2, 1968. Raised by her mother Myriam Gonzalez and her father Hector Montalvo. Edna married her soulmate Marlon Borge in 1994. Edna worked in retail for over 25 years. Most of the time with Sears where she met her husband. She graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
