Denise Marie Varmon

Denise was born on December 5, 1953, in Bronx, NY where she grew up and met her husband, Phil. They moved to Valley Cottage 1978 and several years later Denise began working at Liberty Elementary School and was a School Crossing Guard for Clarkstown. Denise enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends and spending time with her rescue dogs, but her greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports and was their biggest fan, never missing a game. Denise also had a love for the NY Rangers and loved music.

She is survived by her husband Phil; her son Chris (Meaghan) and daughters Nicole (Edward) and Kristin (David). She is also survived by her brothers Dennis Carcia and Jack Carcia and her grandchildren, Nataly, Noah, and Kane as well as nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Friday November 11 from 3-7pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY.

In lieu of flowers, Denise wishes donations would be made to North Shore Animal League America.
