Daniel P. Cusack

Danny was raised in New City, NY and attended Clarkstown South High School. While at Clarkstown South, Danny was a varsity member of both the baseball and wrestling teams. After high school, Danny attended Rockland Community College. Later, Danny started a successful landscaping business, Cusack Landscaping.

Danny was a devoted father. His greatest accomplishments were his sons Danny Jr. and Patrick. Though tough at times, Danny instilled in these young men his sense of passion for life as well as a strong work ethic. Danny enjoyed watching his sons play sports and was always there to encourage them. His boys will always carry with them their father’s passion for life.

Danny had many passions in life and lived his life to the fullest. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their vacation home in the Adirondacks where they were avid snowmobilers. During the summer months, Danny could be found enjoying fishing and hanging with friends at the Admiral Cove Marina. Danny had a larger than life personality and will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of his company.

Danny is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 18 years, Jennifer Arendt, his two extraordinary sons Danny Jr. and Patrick, his parents John and Joan Cusack, his brothers, John of Brooklyn, NY and Christopher of Nanuet, NY as well as a sister, Tricia Cusack of Tarrytown, NY. Danny is preceded by his sister, Cathy Everhardt. Danny also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well countless friends.

A time of gathering will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on May 2 from 2-4 and 7-9. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on May 3 at St. Augustine’s Church in New City, NY.
