Cathy Eberhardt of Haverstraw, N.Y. passed away peacefully on October 2, 2014 at Westchester Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brooklyn, May 15, 1959, the daughter of Joan and John Cusack. As a young girl Cathy lived in Brentwood, N.Y. before moving to Rockland County.
Cathy was a school bus driver and safety coordinator for Haverstraw Transit in Haverstraw, N.Y. She was also a country line dancing instructor and choreographer as well as a D.J.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 33 years Jimmy, her daughter Lindsay and son James, her parents, sister Tricia, brothers John-O, Chris and Danny many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Countless people will never forget Cathy for her love of family and her passion for living.
Family will receive visitors on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian burial will take place Tuesday 11:15am at St. Augustine’s Church. Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
