It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Schultz on January 19, 2024. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Carol was born on August 31, 1943 in Aurora, Illinois. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ted, her daughter Traci and husband Kevin, her son Craig and wife Justina, and her two grandchildren, Kevin and Caroline.
Above all else, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. For 45 years, Carol loved spending her summers at Schroon Lake where she enjoyed hosting family and friends, cruising the lake on her boat, searching for loons, playing endless rounds of Uno, and baking her famous chocolate chip cookies. She loved traveling to visit her lifelong friends and reminiscing about the good old days. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Grandma went to every school concert and sporting event to cheer on her grandchildren as only a Grandma could. Carol will be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation to celebrate Carol’s life will take place on Tuesday, January 23 rd from 4-8pm at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Church services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 24th at Pearl River United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 10am on Saturday, February 3rd at Brick Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Shore Schroon Lake Association at P.O. Box 206 Adirondack, NY 12808 or the Pearl River United Methodist Church at 130 Franklin Avenue Pearl River, NY 10965.
