Carol P Giordano

Carol Giordano (nee Abbott) of Valley Cottage, NY, 84 years old, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on August 5, 2021. Carol was born on July 6, 1937 in Bronx, NY to Charles and Dorothy (Mahoney) Abbott. She graduated from Walton High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, Pasquale Giordano on June 30, 1957. Carol worked as a part-time supermarket cashier for many years while also raising her 5 children. She was a member of the Valley Cottage Senior Citizen group and the Red Hats. She was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Up until her last days, Carol attended water aerobics classes a few times a week, but her greatest joys were her children and her 9 grandchildren. Carol was predeceased by her loving husband Pasquale (Pat) and her eldest loving daughter, Patricia. She is survived by her son, Michael and daughter in law, Karyn, daughters, Theresa Donovan and son in law Sean, and Valerie Tokofsky and son in law Daniel, and her son Dante and daughter-in-law, Karen, as well as her beautiful grandchildren, Kimberly Giordano and her fiance, Jon, Stephen Monti and his fiance Michelle, Kristen Giordano, Erin and Ciara Donovan, Braeden and Ryan Skylar Giordano and Noah and Lucas Tokofsky. Carol is also survived by her loving sisters, Dorothy Szilagye, Anna Kelly and Joan Mezzone.

Family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wed. August 11, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church in West Nyack, followed by interment at Frederick Loescher Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley, NY.
