Brian Joseph Torpey of Nanuet, NY, 49 years old, passed away on June 3, 2019. Brian was born on November 10, 1969 in Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Nanuet Sr. High School in1988 and immediately went into the apprenticeship of Steamfitters Local Union 638, where he spent 30 years doing what he loved. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.
Taken way too early, he is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Edelstein-Torpey, his father Jack Torpey and wife Brenda, his mother Janet Torpey, his sister Kathleen Walsh and husband Mike. Nieces Shannon and Kristin, and nephew Matthew. Brian also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, in addition to many cousins.
Family will receive friends on Friday, 6/7, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass will be held on Saturday, 6/8 at 10am at St. Anthony’s Parish in Nanuet.
