Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 23 at Higgins funeral home in New City. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the Clarkstown Reformed Church at 107 Strawtown Road in West Nyack, NY on Wednesday, May 24.
Barbara was born in Bayside, NY to Ralph and Florence Gallo on August 9, 1940. She graduated from Bayside High School, Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC, and received her Nursing degree from SUNY.
She married Walter Schnabel on August 26, 1961. Barbara worked as a nurse in Rockland County, NY. She also performed with the Music Makers for many years.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Walter, daughters, Lisa, Debbi, Jill, sister, Susan, her six grandchildren, AnnMarie, Charlie, Alyssa, Johanna, Morgan, Christina, and son-in-law’s, Charlie, Tony, and Andrew.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to meals on wheels.
