Arne Buer

Arne Buer passed away on October 5, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born in Skien, Norway on April 3, 1923 to Lars Buer and Margit (Knudsen). He was a resident of West Nyack; Greenville, NY; Palm Harbor, FL and later Cary, NC.

He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII as Fire Control, 2nd Class. He was a member for many years of the Sons of Norway and the General Electric Club.

He is survived by his wife Anita; son Gary (Maggie) Buer of Cary, NC; daughter Barbara (Michael) Wicks of Lords Valley, PA; grandchildren: Karl Buer, Darren (Jess) Buer, Curt (Megan) Wicks, Kristen (Joe) Wicks as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers: Leif, Finn and Ralph. Arne enjoyed spending time with his family.

Family will receive visitors on Thursday from 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc, New City. A service will take place on Friday 10am at the funeral home followed by interment at Fred Loescher Cemetery.
