Anthony N. Favia

Anthony N. Favia of Valley Cottage, NY passed away peacefully on May 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Anthony, 86 years old, was the son of Frank and Nancy Favia, born March 7, 1930 in the Bronx, New York. He served as a Marine in Korean from 1951 - 1953. He worked for A&P and Finast for 35 years as a manager at various stores in the Bronx and Westchester County. Anthony loved to spend his free time fishing and crabbing and being with family and friends. Anthony was a devoted family man with a tireless work ethic.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his two beloved sons Frank Favia of Pearl River and Vincent of Nanuet, his two daughter-in-laws Wendy Favia and Lisa Favia, his grandchildren Lauren Favia, Cristina Marecki (and husband Eric), Anthony Favia (and wife Kristen), Nicholas Favia, Michael Castellano, Christine Favia and Joseph Favia, and his great-granddaughter Lyla Marecki. Anthony is also survived by his two sisters, Kay Grabinsky of North Babylon NY and Ann Parrish of Pembroke Pines FL.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 1 from 2:00-4:00 pm and from 7:00-9:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Home from in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning June 2 at 11:30 St. Anthony's Shrine Church located at 36 West Nyack Road in Nanuet, New York, 10954, followed by interment at St. Anthony's Church Cemetery.
