Anthony, (more commonly known by friends and family as “Tony”) was born on July 23rd, 1964 – growing up and attending High School in Spring Valley, New York while working at his family’s business – Martio’s Pizza in Nanuet, for many years. Tony was exceptionally inventive in the kitchen and used those skills to become a professional, adept baker and cook. He even went on to also bartend at Webster Hall in Manhattan.
In the early 1980s, Tony enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his tour of duty. After his honorable discharge, Tony continued to play a role in his family business and opened his own restaurant, Bambino’s Pizza in Tappan. He eventually entered school to become a Turbine-Engine Airplane and Helicopter Mechanic, where he graduated, moved to Texas and quickly excelled in the industry. Tony also learned the craft of metal work. He traveled the globe, while embarking on other adventures – including teaching English in Slovakia. In very recent years, Tony ran a hotdog truck (in the family since 1944) along route 9W in Haverstraw, New York – where he connected with hundreds of customers: sharing stories, the Word of God, and the philosophical insights that were always on his mind - as well as delicious hotdogs.
Tony was well known for the love he held for his children and the selfless nature he displayed as a father. His love for the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was quickly shared with all those around him.
Tony is survived by his two children, Nicholas Cain Colandrea, his daughter Dannielle Faylene Acovski (Adam) – his expected first grandchild, his loving mother Lois Colandrea, siblings Lisa Giuliano, Alison Leveroni (James), Frank Colandrea (Cynthia), Lucien Colandrea, his niece Grace Leveroni, and nephews Josiah Giuliano (Alexandra) and Christopher Giuliano (Kate); James and Joseph Leveroni, and his great-nephew Ryan Giuliano.
