Zygmund "Ziggy" Kosakowski

Zygmund S. Kosakowski, 87, widower of Juanita Kosakowski of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born in New Britain and was son to the late Alexander and Wanda (Pawlowski) Kosakowski. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was also employed by Empire Development of New Britain. He enjoyed watching football and Nascar Racing.

He is survived by his three children: sons, William S. Kosakowski and wife Susan and Martin Kosakowski, all of Bristol and daughter: Vickie Risdon and husband William of Prospect and his four grandchildren; Jason Risdon of Waterbury, Justin Risdon of Plymouth, Andrew Kosakowski of Bristol and Alex Kosakowski of North Carolina.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
