Zdzislaw Dudzinski, 74, beloved husband of Jadwiga (Steczkowski) Dudzinski, of Cape Coral, FL and recently of New Britain, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Czarnocin, Poland to the late Piotr and Wladyslawa Dudzinski, ‘Ziggy’ immigrated to the states and settled in New Britain in 1966 and just recently moved to Florida. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, had been employed and retired from New Britain General Hospital and had also worked at Brittany Farms Health Care. He proudly worked hard to make a better life for his family.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his devoted wife, Jadwiga ‘Jadzia’ of 45 years, he will also be missed by his four children: Donna Lizotte and husband Lawrence of Cape Coral, FL, Barbara M. Thompson and husband Michael of Unionville, Zbigniew ‘Ziggy’ Dudzinski and Lisa Blumes of New Britain and Elizabeth Wowak of Newington, his 8 sweet grandchildren: Alexander, Alexis, Justin, Ashley, Jonathan, Natalia, Brianna and Christian. He is also survived by his brother, Piotr Dudzinski of New Britain and many nieces and nephews. "Tata, jestes teraz w pokoju."
Funeral Services will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at 9:00am at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, Broad St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burritt St., New Britain. Visitation hours will be Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
