Weronika Wrona

Weronika (Karas) Wrona, 80, widow of Stanislaw Wrona, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. Weronika was born in Brzyska-Wola, Poland and was daughter to the late Jozef and Anna Karas. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, SS Cyril & Methodius Church, it’s Rosary Society and Choir in Hartford and the Golden Senior Citizen Group. She was a retiree of Textron and was a proud U.S. Citizen.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her dear friend, Walter Chudy of Rocky Hill, her sister, Maria Pokrywka in Poland and many nieces and nephews including Sophie Powojski of Berlin who cared for her and supported her during her illness.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 8:30am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
