Stella Galka

Stella (Kwiecien) Galka, 84, of New Britain, passed away, Thursday February 28, 2013. She was born in Poland and came to the United States as a young woman. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Haller Post in New Britain, where she was very involved in their social events. She enjoyed traveling and adored her grandchildren. Stella was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph P. Galka and her daughter Diane Galka Puza. Stella is survived by her two daughters Christine Jacunski and her husband John of New Britain, and Rene Wiser and her husband David of Washington, four grandsons Joseph Wiser and Michael Wiser both of Washington, Derek Puza of South Carolina and Dallas Puza of Georgia. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 6th at 8:30AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, all in New Britain. Visiting hours are Tuesday March 5th from 4-8PM. Haller Post will meet at 6PM.
