Born on May 18, 1927, he was the loving son of the late Joseph and Edna (Treskey) Delldonna. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Mary (Matarazzo) Delldonna who had just celebrated 55 years of marriage. He also leaves behind two children, Laura Vieira of New Britain and Philip Delldonna of Burlington and seven grandchildren: Richard Potter and companion Kristen Cahill, Bryan Potter, Melissa Vieira, Ashley Delldonna, Courtney Delldonna, Michael Delldonna, Victoria Cahill and one great grandchild, Alexandra Molina who was the love of his life. Robert also had many nieces and nephews. Robert also leaves behind a sister in law and brother in law, Millie and Mario Bucchi of Berlin, brothers in law; Paul Matarazzo of Tolland and Sebastian Matarazzo of East Lyme, sister in law, Rose Mary Delldonna of Newington and his dear friends Donald and Judy D’Amato of Newington. Robert is also predeceased by a sister, Rose Pudlin and a brother, Richard Delldonna and niece Robin Delldonna.
Robert served in the Navy as Seaman 1st class from 1944 to 1946 and was honored with the Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and the Asiastic Pacific Medal. Robert attended CCSU and worked at Stanley Works for many years as a Quality Control Inspector. Robert loved to play cards at the Stanley Senior Center and loved traveling, gardening, and enjoyed time at the Casino.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 9:00am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00am in St. Ann Church. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
