Richard Emil “Dick” Arndt, 85 of Cromwell, CT, passed away on Thursday, March 1, after a long illness. Born in Bristol, CT on May 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Donald (Daniel) Arndt and Anna Elizabeth (Wahl) Arndt of New Britain. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War and was a manager of Import/Export Distribution at Heublein, Inc. in Hartford, CT. He was a long time resident of Plainville, CT. Retiring in 1988, Dick and his wife, Raymonde, moved to Orlando, FL, before returning to Connecticut in 2007. He was predeceased by his sister Martha (Arndt) DonAroma in 1985 and a special niece Linda Ann (DonAroma) Thibodeau in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Raymonde Marcelle (Deveault) Arndt of Cromwell, CT; his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Marcia (Marnel) Arndt of Southington, CT; his two grandsons Daniel Richard Arndt of Coventry, CT and Christopher Arndt of Orlando, FL and his favorite nephew Paul DonAroma and Joan Avery of Hebron, CT.
