Mildred Margaret Poppel

Mildred M. Poppel, 92, of New Britain, devoted wife of Charles E. Poppel for over 71 years, passed away on October 26th, 2022. Millie loved flowers and attending to her own garden. She also loved traveling with her husband and family, including to Hawaii, Alaska and Europe. Millie was a kind soul, always wishing good to others with a smile from the heart.

Mildred is predeceased by her parents, many friends and relatives, including grandson Keith Poppel.

In addition to her husband Charles, Mildred is survived by and will be deeply missed by her six children, Charles (Chuck) H. Poppel and wife Cheryl, Kenneth Poppel, David Poppel and wife Evelyn, Janet Poppel, Raymond Poppel and wife Jessie, and Mark Poppel, six additional Grandchildren, Cassondra, Lauren, Daniel, Kevin, Jacob, and Josiah, four great grandchildren, Kayden, Tess, Joseph, and Cameron.

New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd, New Britain, CT at 11:00 am. Interment services will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St, New Britain, CT.
