Mieczyslaw Kluk, 73 of New Britain, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2021, with his wife and three children by his side, after battling Covid. Mieczyslaw leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Maria Kluk, his three loving children and families, eldest son Gregory Kluk and fiancée Janae Barberio, Adam Kluk and wife Marlena Kluk and their son Dominik, and his youngest, daughter Katarzyna Kluk who was the apple of his eye. He also leaves behind his older brother Marian Kluk and his wife who live in Poland, and many nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Mieczyslaw was born in Poland in the small village / town of Przedzel, to the late Bernard and Jozefa Kluk. He met and fell in love with his wife Maria in January of 1972 and they married that same year. He immigrated to the United States in November of 1979 to pursue a better life for him and his family. He settled down in New Britain, CT with his wife and children, and worked as a machine operator for several companies in the surrounding area.
He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he and his wife attended mass every Sunday with their kids. Mitch was very proud of his kids which he and Maria raised with dignity, love and strong family bonds, traditions, and values. He was an endlessly devoted husband, loving and caring father and a young and very happy grandfather.
Mieczyslaw's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends and he loved to travel and vacation with his family and enjoyed going fishing with his grandson and the kids. He also enjoyed working in his garden and around his yard, taking trips with his wife and kids to the beach and stopping at his favorite restaurant Skippers for some tasty fish and chips. He loved nature and the outdoors, especially the mountains and woods, where he loved to go mushroom and berry picking, but he also loved being on a lake or by the ocean.
In his early retirement years, Mieczyslaw decided to pursue his passion for beekeeping and begin the journey in spring of 2017. It didn't work out well the first year as his bee colonies did not survive the winter, but he did not give up and 3 short years later was tending to his numerous beehives and happy bees. He loved being around and taking care of his bees and giving back and sharing just as much as he loved his family, so if you see a bee flying around, that’s just Mitch saying Hello and never give up.
Thank you for the great man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend we all knew and loved and will forever hold in our hearts.
Mieczyslaw’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire ICU medical staff from the Hospital of Central Connecticut for their excellent care and countless hours spent helping him during his illness.
