He was born in Czaple Male, Poland and immigrated to New Britain, CT in 1979 with his wife and children. He was a faithful member of Holy Cross and later Sacred Heart Church, where he was a cantor, lector and Eucharistic minister.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years Irena Zmarlicki, their children Aleksandra Widomski, Pawel Zmarlicki and his wife Hanna, and Anna Prusak and her husband Zbigniew, as well as his sister Zyta Yuhas.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren Michal (Elizabeth) Zmarlicki, Monika Zmarlicka, Magdalena (Daniel) O’Brien, Pawel Widomski, Lidia Prusak and Bogna Prusak, as well as great grandchildren Lukasz Zmarlicki, Braxton O’Brien, and Markus Zmarlicki, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT on Friday December 29 (TODAY) from 5-7pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday December 30 at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
