Mateusz Maciulewski, 14, beloved son of Wojciech and Danuta (Kwiatkowska) Maciulewski of Farmington, passed away tragically on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from injuries sustained in an accident. Mateusz was born in Olsztyn, Poland, coming to the United States with his family in 1998. He was about to start his Sophomore year at Farmington High School. Furthermore, he was a graduate of the Polish Language School and throughout his childhood he participated in the Polish Scout Organization.
Mateusz enjoyed the simple and the great things in life. He loved music and playing his guitars, but his most recent passion became rowing for the Farmington High School crew team. He never neglected an opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, and his goal in life was to be successful enough to be able to travel the world. He lived a great life in the United States, but he also had a true love for Poland.
He will be most remembered for his kind and thoughtful nature, his ability to make others smile and laugh, his generosity, and just being a good and happy kid.
A loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, in addition to his parents, he will also be dearly missed by his brothers, Maciej and Pawel Maciulewski; his maternal grandparents, Irena and Tadeusz Kwiatkowski in Poland; his dear aunts Teresa, Maria and Ewa with their husbands; his uncles, Jan and Jozef with their wives; his sixteen first cousins; much extended family; and many dear friends.
Visitation hours will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053.
