Mary B. (Doucette) Thompson 91 of New Britain passed on Friday, August 14, 2015 with her devoted family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Florida (Fillian) and Arthur Doucette. Mary attended local schools, including St Mary’s, sang on behalf of War Bonds effort during WWII at local venues. She retired from Fafnir Bearing and was a member of St. Jerome Church.
Mary enjoyed bowling, all music, mind engaging activities such as word puzzles, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all of them.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Percy Thompson and is survived by her devoted daughters, Sandra Murawski and her husband, Walter; and Maureen Thompson. She leaves two loving grandchildren, Amanda Bochenek and Evan Luca and 3 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Jeanette Ginter and two brothers, Charles Doucette and Norman Doucette and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19th at 9:00 AM at the funeral home followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at St Jerome Church, Slater Rd.. New Britain burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1309 Stanley Street, New Britain. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 18th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain
