Mary Elizabeth Mulligan Malinowski, “Maribeth”, 60, wife of Donald Malinowski for 35 years, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly, February 17, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born December 9, 1958, in Hartford, CT to the late William and Marguerite Mulligan, previously residing in Wethersfield.
She attended and graduated Wethersfield H.S. Class of 1977, and Ritners School of Floral Design.
Maribeth and Donald made their home in New Britain. She was a devoted wife and mother, who cherished time spent with family, her son being the light of her life. In addition to raising their son, she maintained her career at Eversource for 34 yrs. A fiery Irish woman, she had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed hosting most family get togethers. For each season or holiday, her home was meticulously decorated. Her happiest times were spent on Cape Cod with family and friends. Her graciousness and love for her friends and family, will not be forgotten.
In addition to her husband, Donald and son, Matthew, she also leaves her brothers; William Mulligan and wife Bonnie and Robert Mulligan, all of New Britain and a sister; Carol Ambrose and husband David of Wethersfield, Kenneth and Michelle Malinowski of New Britain and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 4-7pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain.
Please meet directly at church on Friday, February 22, 2019, for services at 10:30 am at Christ the King Parish at the Corpus Christi Campus, 601 Silas Deane Hwy , Wethersfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
