Louis J. Sasso, Jr Age: 87, husband of over 50 years to Gisele( Collin) Sasso, of New Britain, passed away on October 17th, 2016 at his home after a long illness with his loving family by his side. Louis was born on November 19, 1928 in New Britain, To Louis Sasso Sr. and Christine Sasso he was employed Emhart Company, and retired from The Stanley Works as the last tinsmith “tin-knocker” in the maintenance department. He was a member of the National Guard. He was a parishioner of Saint Ann’s Church, in New Britain as well as active in the New Britain Senior Center where he and his wife Gisele volunteered serving lunch.
Louis was a loving and devoted husband of Gisele and loving father of Giselle’s children: Conrad, Michael, Reggie, and Brenda and loving grandfather to grandchildren: Danielle, Jamie-Lynn, and Eric, Kelly, Rachel, and Christina, and their six great grandchildren. Louis was a loving and devoted husband to his former wife, from his first marriage, Dorothy Sasso of Plainville, and loving father to their children Pamela, Angela, Marianne and Judy, their children Earl Jr, Elizabeth, Autum, Rio and Amanda-Grace and his great granddaughter’s Rosemary and Lillian. Louis “mike”, as he was known to his brothers and sisters, is survived by siblings Marsha, Bruce, Dianne, Gloria and Eddie and their children; Todd, Reid, Dean, Cindy, Patrick, Shelly and Glen. A light hearted man with a jovial laugh, who loved fishing and being with his family and his granddaughter Amanda-Grace.
Louis family would like to express their deep gratitude to Anna and Barbara, home caregivers for their wonderful care and to friends and neighbors at the whiting street Senior apartment for their many acts of kindness and support.
Funeral services will begin Friday October 21, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Britain Memorial- Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Church, New Britain, Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
