Irene is predeceased by her husband, Edward Joseph Owsiak after 51 years of marriage; as well as her brother, Walter Leonard of the United Kingdom.
Irene leaves behind two daughters, Irene Landry and her husband Michael of Morris, CT; and Michelle Malinowski and her husband Kenneth of New Britain, CT.
Irene leaves two granddaughters Kimberly Wallengren and her husband Jason of New Preston, CT; and Katherine Alibozak and her husband Mitchell of Litchfield, CT; and two great-grandchildren, Bellamy and Leiden Wallengren; as well as her niece Andrea Nedosko of New Britain, CT.
Irene leaves her extended family of the United Kingdom: nieces and nephews Patrick Leonard, Katherine Rayers, Walter Leonard, and Mary Walker; and great-nieces and great-nephews Christopher, Natasha, Esther, Sophie, James, and Hugh.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, from 9:00-10:30 AM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta St, New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
