
Passed away peacefully and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Ingrid was born on September 29, 1962, in St. Andrew, Kingston, Jamaica, the daughter of Jeneita Clato-Day (née Learmond) and the late Gladstone Clato-Day. She was a longtime resident of Farmington, CT, and formerly of Windsor, CT. Ingrid was a woman of unwavering faith, she dedicated her life to serving God and was a devoted member of Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield, CT. She found great joy in worship, prayer, and sharing God’s love with others, always encouraging those around her with scripture and words of faith. Her trust in the Lord was the foundation of her life, guiding her in all that she did.
Ingrid attended Holy Childhood High School in Kingston, Jamaica, the Allied Health program at Hartford Hospital, and the University of Hartford. She dedicated many years of service as a Mammographer, X-ray Technologist, and MRI/CAT Scan Technologist at UCONN Health, Farmington CT.
Ingrid's greatest joy came from spending time with her three beloved grandchildren, Zion Adams, Zachariah Boyle, and Jeneita Lindo. She will be remembered as a loving and selfless mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who always sought to improve the lives of others with her kind and giving heart. Ingrid had a passion for gardening and loved cooking traditional Jamaican dishes from family recipes. She also found peace in visiting the beach and enjoying the beauty of the ocean. Ingrid was a fan of Hallmark movies and enjoyed the TV series The Golden Girls and Stranger Things. She took pleasure in supporting local businesses such as Rebel Dog Coffee Shop and Fancy Bagels in Farmington, CT, where she often gathered with friends and family.
Ingrid is survived by her mother, Jeneita Murray of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; her two daughters, Simona Dunk of South Windsor, CT and Alexia Lindo of Farmington, CT; her two sons, Mark Lindo of New Britain, CT, and Gabriel Lindo of Farmington, CT; and her three grandchildren, Zion Adams, Zachariah Boyle, and Jeneita Lindo. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Clato-Day, Aldith Mason, Sharon Clato-Day, William Clato-Day, Julian Garyk, Natalie McKeown, Richard Brown as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family of relatives across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Jamaica and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Rehoboth Church of God, 1170 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield,CT on April 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
