Hung La

Mr. Hung La, 90, of New Britain passed away peacefully Monday (June 10, 2013) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was born on May 15, 1923 in China. He moved to Vietnam during his early adult years and served as a Chinese herbal doctor. There, he met his wife, Nuong Huynh La, and together, they had eight children. The family then settled in New Britain, CT in 1980. Mrs. Nuong La passed away in 2007. He leaves behind four sons, An La and his wife Le La of Plainville; Nghiep La and his wife Thuan La of Berlin; Lap La and his wife Phuong La of Berlin; Hung Buu La and his wife Ha La of New Britain; four daughters, Giay La of New Britain; Mi La Tran and her husband Joseph Tran of San Francisco, CA; Chau La and her husband Cuong Luu of Berlin; Cam La and her husband Rick Nguyen of Wethersfield; and dearest niece, Thu Huynh Tinh and her husband Nhi Tinh of New Britain. Mr. Hung La also leaves behind 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends are welcome to call on June 12, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM at New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Funeral services will be held on June 13, 2013 at 8:30AM at New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Directions: Ext 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave., Harford.
