

Halina (Krulak) Maslanicz, 84, formerly of Newington, died peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Mary’s Home in West Hartford. She was born in Warsaw, Poland and was daughter of the late Franciszek and Maria Krulak. During WWII she was taken out of Poland as a young lady, eventually settling in England and immigrated to the United States in 1951.
Mrs. Maslanicz was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the General Haller Post Auxiliary and retired from D&L after 30 years of service. She was a proud and stylish woman who took pride in her appearance and in taking care of her family.
She is survived by her devoted son and daughter in law, who lovingly took care of her during her illness; Andrew and Lu Maslanicz, she is also survived by a sister, Krystyna Zelman in Poland. She was predeceased by her loving husband John Maslanicz.
Funeral service will be Wednesday April 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the New Britain Memorial - Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain. Burial with will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be Wednesday, morning from 10-11am at the funeral home.
