Gloria Cardona, 88, of Meriden, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021 at Southington Care Center. She was born on December 13, 1932 in Aguada, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Juan Cardona of Aguada, Puerto Rico and Primitiva (Suarez) of Rincón, Puerto Rico.
Gloria was a tremendously loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was always most important to her. She was a skilled seamstress who loved making outfits for many of her grand and great grandchildren. Spending time with her family and friends brought her the greatest joys of her life.
Gloria is survived by and dearly missed by her son Raul Torres of Wilmington, Delaware, her grandson Eric Rosado and his wife Sara of East Hampton, Connecticut, her grandson Robert Rosado of Wethersfield, Connecticut, her granddaughter Meagan Rosado of New Britain, Connecticut, granddaughter Wanda Arroyo and her husband Jose of Blauvelt, New York, her grandson Hector Torres of Yonkers, New York, her granddaughter Leanna Torres of New Britain, CT, her granddaughter Tracey Torres of New Britain, Connecticut, her grandson Daniel Torres of Wilmington, Delaware and grandsons through marriage Paul Leiva of Wilmington, Delaware and Jovany Rosado and his wife Katie of Newington, Connecticut along with 12 amazing great-grandchildren and will certainly be missed dearly by her many cousins, extended family and friends.
She is predeceased by her former husband Raul Torres-Otero, son Luis Torres and her daughter Luz Torres.
