It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Elizabeth “Bell” Sikora on March 8, 2020 after a long struggle.
Elizabeth retired after more than 25 years working in the facilities department at the University of CT, a career she was very proud of. She was also known for working in concessions at the Civic Center and sharing leftover popcorn and pretzels at the end of her shift.
Remembered for:
Taking charge, working hard and playing hard. She was the go to person to get things fixed or repaired. Her daughter often said “my mommy can fix it”. She made friends everywhere she went and kept family, friends and strangers on their toes often with an inappropriate joke or story. She never missed an opportunity to help someone when they were in a jam. She loved her animals and never was without four legged companions.
A time of visitation will be held Saturday, March 14th from 9:30am to 11:30 at New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home located at 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. A funeral home service will follow at 11:30am. To leave online condolences please visit www.newbritainsagarino.com
