Denamarie Blancato, 42, of Berlin, passed away unexpectedly of a pulmonary embolism on November 2nd 2018. She was born August 11th, 1976 in New Britain, CT. She attended New Britain Schools. Graduated from New Britain High School in 1994 and received her Bachelor of Arts from CCSU in 2001. Dena was employed by Yale/New Haven Hospital.
Dena was a beautiful young person who was loved by all. She dedicated her life to her son Giovanni, who was her everything. Dena was known for her infectious laugh, sense of humor and radiant smile. She illuminated the world with her kind and generous heart. She was always ready to help others and provide support to anyone in need, especially animals.
Dena spent her summers in Westbrook with her family on the Long Island Sound and spent weekends boating with her loving partner Bob. One of their favorite places to vacation was Block Island. Dena loved anything that encompassed water, sand and sun.
Dena is survived by her mother Sharron Amenta Blancato, her son Giovanni, the love of her life Bob Angellillo of Burlington, her brother Mark and his wife Lisa Blancato of Glastonbury; nieces Anabella, Farrah, Soleil and nephew Hudson. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends, and of course her dog Sophie.
She was predeceased by her father Benjamin Blancato and her grandparents Former State Senator Paul S. Amenta and his wife Marion.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday Nov. 8th at 9:00AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 461 Alling St., Kensington.
